The distinctive design of the chandelier dates back as early as the 15th century. They soon became a symbol of luxury and status with more complex forms based on ring or crown designs. They became popular decorative features in palaces and homes of nobility, clergy and merchants, often taking centre stage in their grand rooms. Prominent features include 9 'twisted' glass arms and distinctive droplets.
Our chandeliers are delivered in a custom-made crate and we recommend that a professional electrician is arranged for installation. Due to the fragile nature of some of our chandeliers, part-assembly may be required ‘in-situ’. This is a simple process, which requires the cut glass drops to be attached once the framework is erected and wired in.
